Ranchod Bapuji was a very powerful and loving Siddha. He
was small in stature and a great renunciant who ate very
simply and frugally. Ranchod Bapuji visited the Ganeshpuri
Ashram in the mid-1960s. He used to do a lot of work among
the needy. Baba wrote
"Wherever there was famine, he would rush to assist
the starving villagers by giving them water, and clothing."
In describing his behavior, Baba
wrote "Sometimes he would disappear for days on end,
and no one would know where he had gone. Suddenly he would
reappear in the midst of people. Bapuji was omniscient."
It was reported that during such instances, he would appear
where there was a calamity and relieve people of their suffering,
and then reappear again many miles away. In describing his
greatness, Baba has said that such rare Siddas from time
to time manifest in the World.
